Toronto Santa Speedo Run

#Toronto is never the same after the Santa Speedo Run shakes up the financial district (or at least Bay Street) and the Village of Yorkville as red Speedo swimsuit wearing runners try to keep warm while raising funds for charity in Support of Sick Kids Foundation. The run for today under sunny skies and low temperatures brought out about 50 participants including men, women and youths.

This is the 7th annual event that will see the participants gather at Hemingway's Restaurant at 142 Cumberland Street noon and setting off at 1:30pm.on Saturday, December 10, 2011. Boy I hope it's not raining or snowing - the weather was almost perfect for the run, unless you were wearing a Speedo and then you had to run fast to keep warm, so it was a win-win situation for the crowd, the runners and charity.
