Frostbite 2011: Bazaar of the Bizarre

The holiday edition of the #Toronto Bazaar of the Bizarre called Frostbite took place at the Great Hall at 1087 Queen Street West. Fascinating and unusual, just what we need to enjoy a break from the extreme commercialism that sometimes gets people down during the holiday season. The Bazaar's website says "If you have not been a part of a previous bazaar and do not know what to expect, you are in for a real treat! It is a Marketplace filled with amazing vendors: Artists, designers, craft-folk, publishers and other independent makers of all things exotic, whimsical and macabre are assembled to attack all of your senses."
So many exciting things happen on the wild side of Queen Street West and the Great Hall is a pretty amazing place. So many floors and the cavernous grand room comes complete with a well stocked bar. The "historic landmark and vintage venue since 1889" brings you inside with long and wide stairways covered in a deep red rug.
The Bazaar of the Bizarre sales are a good way to support local artists and even Tim Burton would probably find it very comforting to be with the vendors.
